A Puppy Bowl contestant prepare
Get ready for cuteness overload! It’s the 10th anniversary of Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl, and an adorable lineup of 66 puppies will take to the field on Super Bowl Sunday for the chance to take home the title of MVP (Most Valuable Puppy).
This year, Animal Planet has also launched its first-ever Puppy Bowl fantasy draft, where fans can create their own teams from a lineup of 11 all-star pooches. Also this year, a group of waddling penguins will cheer on the puppies from the sidelines. And cat lovers will appreciate the Kitty Half-Time Show, featuring internet sensation Keyboard Cat performing Bruno Mars’s “Locked Out of Heaven.”
In case you miss the first showing at 3 p.m., the Puppy Bowl X will repeat five times over the course of the day, each showing featuring new adorable content.
Best of all, many of the puppies featured in the Bowl are orphans looking for their forever homes. Hundreds of orphan pups have appeared in the show over the past nine years and all of them have been adopted.
And if you’re watching the Puppy Bowl with your dog at home, you can submit Instagram photos with the hashtag #puppybowl for the chance to see you and your pup on TV in real time.
The 10th anniversary of Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl will air on Sunday, Feb. 2, at 3 p.m.
