Zayn Malik to miss One Direction American tour dates as he rushes home following death of his aunt
Zayn Malik has been forced to pull out of One Direction's North American tour following the death of his aunt.
The 19-year-old singer rushed back to the UK yesterday to make it to her funeral.
The teen heartthrob will miss several dates on the tour, where the boy band are supporting US group Big Time Rush.

Harry Styles announced the news on Twitter last night. He tweeted: 'Zayn has suffered a loss in his family & has had to go home for a few days so won't be at our next shows in the US.
'Our thoughts are with him and his family at this sad time.'
Bandmate Niall Horan is believed to be taking over Zayn's singing parts during his absence.

In true One Direction fans style, #StayStrongZayn quickly became a trending topic on Twitter.
Although he didn't reference the death directly on his Twitter page, Zayn did retweet a message from a fan which read: "God has no Phone, but I talk to him. He has no Facebook, but he is still my friend. He does not have a twitter, but I still follow him. (sic)'
The remainder of the band will continue with dates over the next week, stopping in Mashantucket, Fairfax, Boston, Houston and Durham.
A spokesperson for One Direction confirmed the news to Mail Online and asked that the family's privacy be respected at this time.
Boyband One Direction have offered their condolences to the family of Kevin Benson, a crew member who died while setting up the boys 'Take Me Home' tour in Liverpool on Sunday.
Mr Benson collapsed and suffered a head injury at the Echo Arena in Liverpool as he was setting up equipment for the 1D show later that night. Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, Mr Benson unfortunately died, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Offering their thoughts and prayers to the friends and family affected by the tragic death, a spokesperson for One Direction told the paper: ''The band, who were at their hotel in Manchester at the time, offer their sincere condolences, and their thoughts and prayers are with Kevin's family at this difficult time.''
A representative for the venue, also offered their condolences, in a statement they said: ''We can confirm that a contractor working at Echo Arena Liverpool was taken to hospital on Sunday morning.
''We understand that he subsequently died. Our sincere condolences go to his family at this sad time.''
One Direction have been on their 'Take Me Home' tour since the end of February. They will be visiting 19 countries over eight months and have already completed a string of sold out gigs in Ireland and the UK.
