There is a joke that it will take hours to bury Weaver because he requested to be buried by having people kick dirt over his coffin in order to fill in his grave.
Earl Sidney Weaver (August 14, 1930 - January 19, 2013) was also known as the Earl of Baltimore and the Duke of Earl. The Hall of Fame manager managed in MLB for 17 years, all of those years with the Baltimore Orioles. Weaver was ejected at least 91 times, including from both ends of a doubleheader three times. His managing credo was "pitching, defense, and the three-run homer." He did not like stolen bases, the hit and run, or the sacrifice bunt. He died at 2 A.M. of a heart attack while on an Orioles' fantasy cruise aboard the Celebrity Silhouette in the Caribbean Sea. Weaver's wife of 49 years, Marianna, was at his side when he died. He was 82 years old. Apparently he was a lifelong cigarette smoker.?
Deathternity talks about all things death related. There are 1 million+ owned graves in cemeteries in America that people will not use. Cemeteries do not buy graves back. I would encourage people to begin thinking about either selling or buying these graves at a deep discount to what your cemetery charges. Or you can donate unused graves for a tax deduction. If I can help you with this please contact me here, email me at deathternity@gmail.com, or call me at 215-341-8745. My fees vary.
